Our Mission
Align Western New York is a social services organization that provides the people we serve with opportunities to hear, see, and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
We envision a place where every person can access the support available in the community and, in doing so, have an opportunity to be introduced to the Christian faith.
What We Do
Casework & Homeless Street Outreach
We meet people where they are, on sidewalks, in crisis, or looking for guidance.
Our team provides:
• Information & referrals
• Connection to community programs
• Encouragement, prayer, and practical support
We currently partner with organizations across Erie and Niagara Counties, allowing us to walk alongside people in need while sharing the hope of Christ.
Training & Education Through Rehabilitation
We are currently rehabilitating a single-family home in the City of Niagara Falls.
But this project is more than construction, it’s discipleship, mentorship, and workforce development.
We pair individuals who want to learn the trades with skilled volunteers who are willing to teach. This creates:
• Practical hands-on training
• Mentorship opportunities
• Pathways to meaningful employment
• Open doors to share the Gospel in everyday conversation
Along the way, we’ve built relationships with the surrounding neighbors, creating natural opportunities to demonstrate and share the love of Christ.
Transitional Housing
Once the home is fully restored, it will become a safe place for individuals who need temporary housing while rebuilding their lives. During their stay, they will have ongoing opportunities for support, mentorship, and engagement with the Gospel.
Align Connect Mentorship
For anyone desiring discipleship or meaningful support, we connect individuals with Christians who feel called to mentor and walk with someone through life’s challenges.
Align Connect helps people grow in:
• Stability
• Spiritual formation
• Healthy relationships
• Personal responsibility
• Community belonging
It’s the Great Commission lived out through personal relationship.
Community Garden
Align stewards five lots of land, and two of them are used as a community garden serving a high-needs neighborhood.
In our first year we:
• Had 12 volunteers
• Had 9 garden beds and cared for 1 apple tree
• Provided fresh produce to local families and two small businesses
• Built meaningful relationships with neighbors
• Shared the Gospel through word and deed
The garden is more than food, it’s a bridge to community and relationships.
How we do it
Driven by Volunteers
Align Western New York is a volunteer-run ministry, driven by more than 30 people who give their time and talents to serve our community.
We recently launched our “Get in the Story” theme. This is an invitation based on the final verse of the Gospel of John, encouraging people to step into God’s ongoing story by using their gifts for His purposes. Our volunteers live this out every day as they serve those in need.
Our Heart
Align Western New York exists because we believe Jesus changes lives. We want every person, whether they meet us in a garden, on the street, in a home under construction, or through a local partner, to experience His love in real and tangible ways.
